nothingwoman

i am nothingwoman
gouged out, emptied, down
as low/as i/can go
(it happens this way
once in awhile)
high hopes imploded
SOLID turned to b l o w n d u s t
can't find one speck
to hold onto--
let me tell you
i'd do anything, ANYthing
to be anywhere but here
yet i won’t leave
‘cause only when I’m nothingwoman
only in this empty place
am i still enough to hear the whisper:

god will dream you new again
