i heard a man whistle a strong tune in a parking lot
my dad whistled so much Whistle was his nickname

funny how you hate your dad so intensely
you plot ways to kill him just prior to falling into adolescent sleep

yet--you love your dad so much that a decade after his death
your impulse is to run to a whistling stranger
